Onto the next adventure 🌾🏡 Years of dreamin Onto the next adventure 🌾🏡

Years of dreaming
3 houses made into homes
Months of learning to let go of control
A lot of ups, downs, and tears

The last few months have been a rollercoaster to say the least. We looked at multiple properties and lost them all. We bounced the idea of selling or staying because nothing was working out.

But God was telling me to let go and trust… so we did… we listed, it sold quick…as it sold, a property came up…I was scared we’d lose it but again, I was told to let go and trust. Fast forward a few weeks and here we are… the new owners of the perfect land to grow our family.

It’s about to get even crazier as I continue to trust. There is no home on the land. We are going to attempt to put up a shop to move the camper into for the winter and then start the build in spring. The next few months are uncertain but I know, it’ll all work out as I continue to learn to let go of control and just trust.

I hope you stick around as we make this land our HOME and make it everything we have ever dreamed of 💕

There is still some time left in 2023 to add some There is still some time left in 2023 to add some character to you home with these 3 easy wall treatments:

1. Shiplap
Although many say this one is going out the door, I think it still had a lot of potential, you just need to get creative. Adding a moody tone or switching up the direction it is laid, really gives it a new energy!

2. Panel Moulding
This treatment is a classic and one that I believe can outlast any style trend. There are so many different profiles and options that can be done with panel moulding!

3. Accent Wall/Feature
This can be achieved with a simple paint colour or adding depth with trim board. Again, another wall that has endless options - board and batten, geometric, wallpaper, etc.

So what type of wall would you do to finish off the year?

WE ARE MOVING 🏡🌾🥳 When I tell you this i WE ARE MOVING 🏡🌾🥳

When I tell you this is a massive leap of faith, I am not kidding. For months we played with the idea of listing with no plans in sight for the future. We finally took the leap and signed papers to list. 2 days before the listing went live, I found out about my surgery. This ALMOST had me put the breaks on but God was telling me to trust Him, it’ll all work out.

If you know me, I am a planner. To be given a last minute surgery date which would happen DAYS after listing, terrified me! How could I keep a house “show home” ready while recovering? How can I do that or this… but again I was stopped and heard “Trust me”.

36 hours… 36 hours from listing, we had an offer from a virtual tour, 3 days before my surgery. The relief I felt knowing I could recover from my surgery without having to stress about the house. I cried.. I CRIED and just couldn’t stop saying thank you Lord. The family flew in from out of town while we were camping to see it in person and close the deal, another blessing in timing.

Do we know yet where we are going to live? Not yet…but we have till Dec 1st (another blessing) and we are going to continue to take leaps of faith. It scares me but I think learning to let go of control is the final step in my growth. Should we have a plan? Absolutely! Are we making some? Maybe, maybe not! I will definitely keep you updated but I am so excited to FINALLY share this news with you!

I am so sad to let this home go but so happy that this house can be a home for the next family to enjoy 💕

See you on the next adventure!

PORCH GLOWUP✨✨✨ 3 days - 3 coats - and the PORCH GLOWUP✨✨✨

3 days - 3 coats - and the front steps look SO much better than before! No more uneven concrete with some part exposed aggregate and rough finish!

This project gave me some trust issues but it was definitely a *trust the process* type of finish! It could almost use a 4th coat but I’m leaving it for now to get ready for our big announcement coming up soon! Thanks for coming along!
